    JAGGAER makes it easy to manage the suppliers you do business with via the JAGGAER Supplier Network and your branded Supplier Portal. We provide them with a simple interface to allow them to log in and quickly flip a sales order to an invoice for you. What about those suppliers that you do business with only once or twice a year who may not have access to your Supplier Portal? We need to get an invoice into the JAGGAER solution quickly so you can process the payment, but if your suppliers don’t have a need to register for your portal, receiving and processing that invoice can take some time. In this breakout session and demonstration, we will configure our buyer’s organization with the ability to request an invoice from your suppliers via email from within the JAGGAER solution. We’ll watch as our supplier populates the necessary fields on a draft invoice outside of the Supplier Portal and generates an invoice in your buyer’s organization upon submission.

    Is your organization wrestling with where your accounts payable (AP) team fits in your business? Does your AP team feel that they are an afterthought in the procurement process? Pre-Jaggaer implementation, Queen’s University struggled with all of these questions and more. In 2017, Queen’s successfully implemented Jaggaer’s eProcurement and Invoicing modules, which prompted the university to look at how accounts payable functioned in the institution. Throughout the Jaggaer implementation, Queen’s re-evaluated the effectiveness of accounts payable and its relationship with procurement. The successes from the Jaggaer system drove the university to move the accounts payable function from a Financial Services responsibility to Strategic Procurement, creating a complete end-to-end process ensuring a comprehensive procure-to-pay practice that benefits both clients and suppliers. This presentation will cover: • Pre-Jaggaer accounts payable state, i.e. moral and effectiveness of the unit and its procedures and processes • What were the changes that took place and what does the AP function look like now, i.e. moving from a complete manual paper processing to 98% electronic processing, and reducing the risk involved in payment processing • What is the future of AP at Queen’s, i.e. innovative processes to support clients and valued suppliers.
