International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8, 2023, is an opportunity to reflect on the progress toward workplace inclusivity, while also recognizing the work that still lies ahead. In recent years, many organizations have taken steps to create more inclusive workplaces by implementing policies and practices that promote diversity and equality. JAGGAER is among those organizations, and we are proud to be fostering an inclusive and equitable work environment that empowers women to achieve success.

There is an important distinction to be made when promoting workplace inclusivity. One must embrace equity, rather than simply promote diversity. Equity is about ensuring that everyone has access to the resources and opportunities they need to succeed, regardless of their background, identity, or gender.

This means addressing systemic barriers to women’s advancement in the workplace, such as unconscious bias and discriminatory hiring practices. It also means creating more flexible work arrangements that allow women to balance work and caregiving responsibilities, which can be particularly challenging for those in leadership positions.

As the leadership of the human resources department here at JAGGAER, I am proud to be among such a dynamic group of professional women that are supported and embraced by the company for their work. By the same token, I have dedicated myself to removing any barriers for the women of JAGGAER to accomplish their goals or strategic objectives.

Women leaders bring a unique perspective to the workplace, which often leads to greater creativity, innovation, and valuable direction in decision-making. Despite great progress, however, many women continue to face challenges and barriers to leadership in some parts of the world. Therefore, it’s important to continue working towards creating and fostering a more inclusive workplace culture that empowers and supports women to take on leadership roles, especially in technology, science, and software.

To that end, I am thrilled to announce that JAGGAER has recently launched a Women’s Networking Group with the mission of supporting, empowering, and connecting the women of JAGGAER across all job functions, seniorities, geographies and cultures. Through monthly virtual and in-person meet-ups, this group will be providing tools to empower the women of JAGGAER to find and use their voice as well as resources to establish equity and wellbeing in the workplace.
