    Pininfarina Digitalizes Procurement with JAGGAER

Milan, Italy, September 27, 2022: Pininfarina has been synonymous with elegance, design and innovation since its birth in Turin in the 1930s: it is no coincidence that the first car to enter the prestigious MOMA collection in New York was one of its own.

One of the world’s best-known premium brands, listed on the stock exchange and owned, since 2016, by Indian giant Tech Mahindra, Pininfarina has embarked on a procurement digitalization path capable of supporting the company as it faces the new challenges of an ever-changing market. Pininfarina chose JAGGAER ONE as the platform best suited to help it pursue its new business approach.

“I am delighted to have helped guide Pininfarina toward innovation, rationalizing and streamlining the purchasing process,” comments Pierluigi Bertolin, Head of Procurement, who has pushed strongly for the digitalization of this crucial aspect of the business. “This transformation was necessary to continue to meet, in the best way possible, the challenges we face in supply chains that are increasingly global and prone to risk, as we always seek to assure our customers of the expected levels of excellence. We have adopted JAGGAER’s Supplier Management and Sourcing modules to move to digital management of every interaction with our suppliers. JAGGAER’s vast experience in industries such as automotive and manufacturing; and its focus on innovation, are the drivers that identified them as the right partner for us.”

With offices in Italy in the province of Turin, in Cambiano and Grugliasco, as well as its presence in Germany, China and the United States, Pininfarina has over the years diversified its industries by adding skills in industrial design, boating, architecture, and experience design in addition to its historic expertise in automotive design.

“We are proud that an iconic automotive brand like Pininfarina has chosen JAGGAER,” comments Roberto Spagnolo, Account Director of JAGGAER Italy. “We believe that the Autonomous Commerce revolution, a strategy that drives the evolution of our solutions, can bring our customers great benefits in the management of purchasing and suppliers, also thanks to artificial intelligence applications that specifically address governance, quality and risk management in supply chain processes. Technology is an indispensable lever for companies which, like Pininfarina, are particularly demanding in terms of the quality standards of their suppliers.” The project has been developed by JAGGAER in partnership with BearingPoint

    About Pininfarina
Global icon of Italian style, Pininfarina is recognized for its unparalleled ability to create timeless beauty through its values of elegance, purity, and innovation.

Founded in 1930, Pininfarina has evolved from an artisan concern to an international service Group, supreme expression of automotive styling and an established reality in industrial design and architecture. A group employing 500 people, offices in Italy, Germany, China and the United States, listed on the Stock Exchange since 1986 and included in the basket of Italian Listed Brands in which Borsa Italiana has brought together the 22 top Italian brands of listed companies.

Pininfarina is a company that looks to the future through its multidisciplinary expertise in services. The skills it has historically expressed in the automotive sector – design and limited series production – are only a portion of the range of services that the company can offer its customers today. Cross-fertilization, mainly from Industrial and Experience Design, Architecture and Nautical, allows Pininfarina to offer a new, broader value proposition in the form of integrated solutions and turnkey projects in all sectors, from automotive to telecommunications, from real estate to sailing, from industrial machinery to retail.

Today, Pininfarina works on revolutionary projects in all sectors. It has recently unveiled new models of electric cars, trains, yachts and major international architectural projects including the Control Tower of the new Istanbul Airport and a number of high-impact residential buildings in Europe and Latin America that have also earned it numerous architectural accolades. These include the American Architecture Award 2021 for Torre Designo in Mexico and the International Architecture Award for the residential tower Sixty6 in Cyprus and for the recently inaugurated Cyrela by Pininfarina residential tower in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
