Promising JAGGAER Interns Are Soaring Towards Success – See How!

Hi, my name is Haley Patton. I have had the amazing opportunity of interning with the Integrated and Digital Marketing team at JAGGAER this summer. Born and raised in Raleigh, I am a rising senior at Appalachian State University studying public relations with a double minor in internet studies and gender, women’s and sexuality studies.
I’m looking forward to continuing to help the marketing team with their online content (blogs, social media, graphics, etc.) and furthering my understanding of the impact social media has in the procurement industry. So far, I’ve really enjoyed researching the best ways for businesses to use social media and how we can implement my findings to make JAGGAER’s online presence stronger.
And I’m not the only one! I interviewed the six other summer interns about themselves and what they like about being an intern here at JAGGAER and here’s what they had to say:
Mohit Modi, Corporate IT Help Desk Intern, is a senior studying computer and electrical engineering at NC State University. He was born in Ahmedabad, India, but has been living in Apex, NC, for the last 10 years. He loved it so much he came back for a second summer internship! Why does he like it so much? Mohit says the real-world experience, the environment and the people he works with every day are unparalleled.
Albert Seeke is a development intern in our Pittsburgh office. He is a senior earning a computer science and computer engineering double major from the University of Pittsburgh. Albert is excited to see how the development phase works in the corporate world, learn the ropes of a new job and observe how his team works together.
Originally from Apex, NC, Trent Allard, is a recent political science graduate from Appalachian State University and will be starting law school in the fall. Trent is looking forward to learning as a legal intern how an in-house counsel operates and understanding the daily life of a corporate lawyer. When asked about the progression of his internship, Trent is thrilled to report he has already learned more than he expected in the short month he’s been here.
“The inclusiveness of the JAGGAER attorneys has enabled me to learn a substantial amount of information regarding negotiation, preparation and various intangibles that make them so good at their work,” Trent explains. “I believe this internship will propel me ahead of my peers going into law school and into the corporate world.”
Our other Raleigh native, Kyle Kaelin, is a sophomore business major at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is the resource coordinator intern. Since his arrival, Kyle has been welcomed into the JAGGAER family, and like with any new job, it’s been comforting. Kyle really enjoys the culture at JAGGAER, highlighting how nice and helpful everyone has been to him thus far.
Brian Lassiter, Marketing Operations Intern, is a senior double majoring in business administration and sports management at NC State University. Brian came into his internship looking to develop skills and gain experience that will be useful in future job opportunities. He spends his days helping the sales development team scrub lists and creating new strategies to further leads in the funnel. It’s safe to say that by the time he leaves JAGGAER, he will be a whiz at Salesforce.com!
David Snyder is a senior economics major at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. David likes working as a resource coordinator intern in the professional services department because it lets him see different parts of the procurement business from a bird’s eye view.
“I like that I’ve been kept off-balance and have been working on a lot of different assignments over the past month. I feel like I’ve already gotten a great deal of exposure in a very short time!” David said.
JAGGAER truly appreciates our interns’ hard work and wish them success wherever the future take them!
