University of Pennsylvania Pushes 70% of Spend Through JAGGAER

Taking purchasing to a new level

To extract even more value out of the Penn Marketplace—the University of Pennsylvania’s successful supplier exchange—the purchasing services department needed a solution that could increase user adoption while simultaneously improving contract utilization. They needed a critical mass of supplier content, configure their catalogs to promote their “preferred” suppliers, and do all of this without draining the IT budget. The new system needed to leverage the university’s previous technology investments. When it was time to upgrade their purchasing portal, the school turned to JAGGAER’s eProcurement software for innovative procurement and increased utilization of targeted suppliers.

Read the success story to find out how the University of Pennsylvania:

  • Directed over 70 % of campus purchase transactions through participating Penn Marketplace contract suppliers
  • Allowed 1,850 users to access more than 70 of the university’s strategic contract suppliers’ online catalogs in key commodity groups
