Experts from JAGGAER, the Institute for Supply Management® (ISM®), EdgeVerve, Tableau, ABBYY and more come together to discuss digital transformation and kick-off first annual Autonomous Procurement Month.
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – May 25, 2021 – JAGGAER, the world’s largest independent spend management company, today announces its partnership with ISM to host a practical guide to autonomous procurement webinar series, as part of the first annual autonomous procurement month.
The program will equip procurement professionals with valuable insights on innovation and digital transformation that they can use to strategically guide their organization into the future. The webinar series is packed with some of the best and brightest minds in the space – including experts from EdgeVerve, Tableau, ABBYY, ISM and more.
“Our industry is faced with a tremendous opportunity. With the technology at our disposal today, and by taking the right steps towards tomorrow, procurement has an opportunity to become that strategic business partner that we’ve all talked about for so long,” said Jim Bureau, JAGGAER’s CEO. “We’ve created this series to give professionals globally the knowledge, perspective and practical steps they need to tackle digital transformation right now and set themselves and their organizations up for success over the next five years and beyond.”
The four-part series, hosted by JAGGAER and ISM, will kick off June 3 and run through June 24, providing a practical guide to foundational technologies needed to build autonomous procurement and advance digital transformation, including:
- RPA: Benefits, Implementation Lessons, and Pitfalls to Avoid (June 3): RPA might not have the best reputation in some circles, but there’s incredible value to be had if you do it right. Hear from Rutgers University, EdgeVerve’s Shirkant Deo and JAGGAER VP Amenallah Reghimi as they discuss a practical guide to implementing RPA and what NOT to do.
- AI for Procurement: Implementation for Non-Developers (June 10): AI is a polarizing topic, and often a term that’s used without any practical meaning. Join EdgeVerve’s Nakul Arora, JAGGAER VP Amenallah Reghimi and special guests from Alkermes as they dispel the myths surrounding AI and provide a practical roadmap to getting your organization AI ready.
- Implementing Augmented Analytics: From Data to Actionable Insights (June 17): Augmented analytics should be at the center of your digital transformation roadmap. Tableau’s Ben Lower, JAGGAER’s Amenallah Reghimi and a resident guest lecturer of Digital and Global Supply Chains at the University of Sussex will shed light into how augmented analytics is making the human element of digital transformation more important than ever, and how you can get more from your data than ever before.
- OCR Today, Intelligent Document Processing Tomorrow: How to Get from Here to There (June 24): The series will finish with a session on a technology you’ve likely used but have perhaps never heard of: OCR. ABBYY’s Reggie Twigg, JAGGAER’s Amenallah Reghimi, and a special guest from New South Wales Department of Communities and Justice will share what steps you can take to get the most out of OCR today and how to move towards intelligent document processing (IDP).
Attendees will receive one Continuing Education Hour (CEH) from the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) per webinar to maintain their supply management certifications and will also get a copy of our practical guide to autonomous procurement, complete with step-by-step checklists, use cases, and what not to do.
Attendees of all four sessions will be entered to win a grand prize of a Bose Smart Soundbar 300 with Bluetooth connectivity and Alexa voice control built-in. With additional prizes awarded as well.
“Staying on top of trends, market dynamics and technology developments is critical for the supply management and procurement profession, especially in today’s shifting business landscape,” said Thomas Derry, CEO at the Institute for Supply Management. “Offering continuing education credits for participation during this series will help practitioners cultivate resiliency and help their organizations foster an innovative and forward-thinking culture.”
