Sydney, Australia – June 16, 2020: In late 2019, JAGGAER, the world’s largest independent spend management company, helped Caltex Australia embark on a project to improve their procurement operations, beginning with JAGGAER ONE Sourcing+ and Supplier Management+ modules.
Brett Macdonald, Head of Group & Retail Procurement at Caltex Australia, said Caltex went to market in 2019 looking for a solution specific to their needs which would allow them to gain control, optimise efficiency and reduce spend.
“A best practice, collaborative approach to procurement and the benefits to our teams and customers drove our decision to implement JAGGAER ONE modules,” said Macdonald. “JAGGAER ONE allows for configurations which lead to more meaningful conversations with internal stakeholders and suppliers. This has become more important as we have dealt with the impact of COVID-19 and as we look into the post COVID-19 future.”
The Caltex Procurement Portal went into production in June 2020. The Caltex procurement team will use the JAGGAER ONE platform to manage its supplier base.
“The JAGGAER APAC team offer a wealth of procurement expertise. Their friendly, professional approach contributed to the overall success of the project” added Macdonald.
The JAGGAER APAC team continues to work with Caltex to improve and enhance their procurement portal. “Organisations are seeking to introduce best in class web-based tools as a key driver for improving and streamlining procurement and spend management capabilities,” advised Anthony Larratt, Managing Director JAGGAER APAC. “By working with JAGGAER, the expert in digital transformation, Caltex has a strong partner at its side, strengthening their procurement processes and ensuring the future of the crucial services and supplies they deliver.”
